Atletico Madrid captain Gabi stated his desire for the team's highly sought after striker to remain with the Copa Del Rey winners when Goal Singapore caught up with him in a brief exclusive.
"Hopefully Falcao will stay with us," said the 29-year-old.
"But if he goes to another team, all my best to him because he is a great player."
Falcao protracted transfer situation has been the subject of intense speculation with Chelsea, Manchester City all reportedly in the race to sign the Colombian international.
In an earlier exclusive interview with Goal Singapore, club CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin stated that they have yet to receive any official offer for the player following strong interest from AS Monaco.
The La Liga outfit were in Singapore on a three-day tour that ended with a charity friendly match against a Singapore Selection side. Goals from Raul Garcia and Diego Costa sealed a hard-fought 2-0 win for the visitors with star player Falcao making a 20-minute appearance late in the game but failing to make any impact.
