Chelsea wouldn't sell me to a rival - Lukaku rules out Tottenham move

The Belgium international says he will return to the Blues before deciding his future, but has embraced the idea of a switch to Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund
On-loan West Brom striker Romelu Lukaku has quashed the idea of a move to Tottenham, insisting his parent club Chelsea would never let him join a rival.

The 20-year-old Belgian forward spent this season on loan at the Baggies after failing to break into the first team at Chelsea following an £18 million move from Anderlecht in 2011.

And although his 17 goals for West Brom have seen the striker linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, Lukaku played down talk of a transfer to Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Speaking to the Belgian football show Extra Time, Lukaku said: "I'll start the season with Chelsea. Then I will speak with management to discuss the best choice. I am a realist.

"I still need to grow and for that I need to have time to play during the next season.

"Departure to Tottenham? No this is not possible because it is a direct competitor to Chelsea.

"Departure to Germany? Schalke 04 and Dortmund? Dortmund would be a good choice, especially as the club can still win the Champions League."
