Enoh has been dropped from Ajax's squad for their clash with Vitesse on Thursday evening, further hinting that a deal could be close.
Ajax technical director Marc Overmars admitted that there had been contact with the Premier League outfit, but insisted that there was no deal in place as yet.
"Negotiations has to start up first," Overmars told De Telegraaf. "Nothing is sure for now."
The 26-year-old joined Ajax from South African feeder club Ajax Cape Town in 2008, but has fallen out of favour with the Dutch champions this season, making just seven appearances.
Fulham have already added the on-loan Emmanuel Frimpong and Urby Emanuelson to their midfield, which has been slightly lightweight in the absence of the injured Mahamadou Diarra.
