Forrester leaves Everton to join Blackburn

The 18-year-old had yet to make a senior appearance for the Merseyside club but has joined the Championship side on a free transfer after impressing during a trial
Anton Forrester has left Everton in order to join Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers following a successful trial.

The 18-year-old striker's contract was set to expire at the end of the season, but the Toffees have eschewed a transfer fee in favour of inserting a sell-on clause.

The Liverpool-born goalscorer had been with Everton since the age of nine but failed to make a senior appearance for the club.

Recently appointed Rovers boss Michael Appleton has secured the forward on a contract until 2015.
