After attaining runners-up finish in their first season back in the S.League, Brunei DPMM has been ruthless in their transfer movements.
The trio of Basiru Osman, Patrick Da Silva and Ivan Jerkovic was released by the management for not performing up to the expectations, with only Brazilian defender Tales Dos Santos surviving the cull.
As such, there has been a need for new reinforcements and according to the official DPMM website, they Sultanate club have secured the services of three new foreign players to replace the outgoing trio.
One of the major coups for the only professional club in Brunei is the arrival of former Dinamo Zagreb and AEK Athens defender Dino Drpic.
Drpic will be joined by Portuguese striker Joao Moreira and Guadeloupean midfielder Stephane Auvray who had been in action with the club recently in an invational tournament in Aceh, Indonesia.
Drpic had 20 caps to his name as a youth international and a cap for Croatia when he was call-up to the national team for a friendly against Slovakia in 2007.
The Croatian spent nine seasons playing for Dynamo Zagreb from 2000-2009 before making the move to German club Karlsruher SC.
Drpic also had brief spells at Greece outfit AEK Athens and Volyn Lutsk in Ukraine, both in 2011, before moving back to Croatia with HNK Rijeka a year ago.
Moreira had represented his country at Under-21 level, while the Auvray is the current captain of his national team and has formerly laced up for Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls.
Moreira, 26, has already found the net twice in Wasps' colours in the recently concluded Governor Aceh Trophy in Indonesia where they finished fourth out of six teams, while 31-year-old Auvray is described as a 'defensive midfielder known for his aggressive tackling.
With that, it leaves only one more foreign slot up for grabs with the S.League allowing an additional foreign player slot for the 2013 campaign.
