The Hammers have completed the signing of the Airtricity First Division club's 18-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international

West Ham have completed the signing of Sean Maguire from Waterford United.

The 18-year-old striker has agreed to join the Hammers on a two-and-a-half year deal after impressing for the Blues during the 2012 season, scoring 13 goals.

Maguire's performances throughout the 2012 season also earned him recognition from the Irish football community, as he was nominated for the PFAI Young Player of the Year award, along with Chris Forrester and David Cawley.

A Republic of Ireland youth international, Maguire began his career with Kilkenny outfit Evergreen before joining Airtricity First Division side Waterford United.
