Porto winger James Rodriguez shrugs off alleged Manchester United interest

The Colombian starlet reiterated his commitment to the Estadio do Dragao outfit, and insisted he is more than happy to remain in Portugal for the foreseeable future
Porto winger James Rodriguez has revealed that he is not interested in a move to Manchester United, reassuring fans that he wants to remain with Vitor Pereira's side.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2010, the 20-year-old winger has drawn attention from Europe's biggest clubs, with Sir Alex Furguson's side continually linked with a move.

Nevertheless, the Colombian remained unfazed when quizzed on the topic of an alleged €25 million (£20m) bid from the Old Trafford club.

"I want to stay with Porto," James Rodriguez told Portuguese daily O Jogo. "I am happy and very pleased to be able to continue with the club.

"I am looking ahead to next season and have a lot of expectations. I will also have more duties and responsibilities next season.

"When the news came out about Manchester United, I knew nothing about it. I want to win more titles here."

James Rodriguez, who has won five caps for his country, made 20 appearances for Os Dragoes as they successfully retained their Premeira Liga crown in 2011-12.
