The Brazilian coach attested to the truth of the reports linking the club with the Dutchman, but stressed that nothing is settled yet
Brazilian sources have suggested that the Rio de Janeiro-based club are looking to sign the 36-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the season, when his Milan contract expires.
De Oliveira did not wish to release any information on the state of negotiations with Seedorf and urged the team to stay focused on Sunday's match against Vasco.
"We have been talking about that for a while and now it has fallen into public domain," he told reporters.
"There is nothing settled or close to being settled. We will see.
"It is too soon to talk about that, because it may not happen. The issue about Seedorf is still at an early stage, so much so to comment on it when we have a game on Sunday.
"It is clear that this is a marketing move and that the club need to take this step."
Seedorf, who has been at Milan since 2002, has made 28 competitive appearances this season.
