Stuttgart striker Cacau has admitted he does not yet know whether he will be called up to Joachim Low's squad to face France next week, but remains confident that he will be nominated as part of Germany's Euro 2012 team.
Speaking exclusively with Goal.com, the 30-year-old revealed he has not been in touch with Low regarding a place for the France friendly.
"No, I have not spoken with him and will wait until the squad is announced," he said.
Cacau was one of three centre-forwards to be called up to Low's World Cup 2010 squad, along with Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez. But even despite competition from the likes of Mike Hanke and Stefan Kiessling, he still believes he can return to die Mannschaft.
"The quality available in Germany is such that a selection is not to be taken for granted. I will continue to bring my best performances to preserve my chances.
Germany will host France on Wednesday, February 29. Kick-off in Bremen is scheduled for 20.30CET.
