The Clarets make the short trip across Lancashire on Good Friday looking to take one step closer to promotion, with our tipster backing them to win
Despite losing last weekend, Sean Dyche's side are still in pole position to join Leicester City as they lead Derby County in third by eight points. If the Clarets win and Derby fail to win their clash with Doncaster on Friday night, then Dyche's side will be promoted.
They come into this game unbeaten in their last nine away games. The Clarets have been superb this season, and despite injuries to key players in the run in, they have still managed to sustain a lead over the chasing pack.
Last time they played away from home they battled to a 1-0 win over Barnsley, which took their away run to five wins from their last nine. William Hill price them at even money (2.00) to win again and put pressure on the Rams.
Blackpool have been in woeful form since the start of December. Barry Ferguson's side have only picked up two victories in their last 26 matches, losing 19 times.
The future looks bleak for the Tangerines, but they still sit just outside the bottom three by two points. This is down to a strong start, which saw them top the Championship in August. William Hill price them at 13/5 (3.60) to take a much needed three points, the same firm price the draw at 11/5 (3.20).
With Burnley on the road to promotion and winning nine of their last 14 matches, it's tough to see how they have been priced at even money (2.00) with William Hill. Barry Ferguson's men are really struggling for results, with the Tangerines losing their last two at home to Derby County and relegation rivals Yeovil Town.
The return of key men to the Clarets squad in recent weeks should futher boost the confidence in the squad. The likes of Danny Ings, Kieran Trippier and Dean Marney have returned from injury and suspension and they should have too much for a poor Blackpool side.
With this in mind, it's certainly worth backing the visitors in this encounter on Friday, with a short distance travelled, their will be no excuses if they can't muster a victory at Bloomfield Road.
