Paddy Power expect the Newcastle boss to receive a sizeable stadium ban after he was charged with "non-standard" improper conduct by the FA
Magpies boss Alan Pardew has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after clashing with Hull's David Meyler on the sidelines during the match and head-butting the midfielder during a heated exchange.
|How long will Alan Pardew's Stadium ban be?
|Odds from Paddy Power
|10 or more||11/10|
Paddy Power have issued prices on how long they expect Pardew to be banned for with 10 or more made favourite at just 11/10 (2.10).
The way the bookmaker have structured the market by quoting individual numbers as opposed to bands means that any punters looking to pick out a lesser number are able to take some sizable prices with seven (9/2), six (11/2) and eight (11/2) all offering significant returns .
In the immediate aftermath of the incident punters clambered to back Pardew to be the next Premier League manager to leave his position amid fears that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley could use the clash as a reason to dismiss Pardew for gross misconduct.
After significant interest, Pardew was as low as 3/1 (4.0) with the bookmakers to leave next when the club issued a statement which confirmed the 52-year-old had been given a formal warning and fined £100,000, seemingly drawing a line under the matter and he has now drifted out to double figure prices in the sack race market.
In terms of bans that have gone beyond the standard two or three games before, Former Blackpool manager Paul Ince was given a five-match stadium ban by the FA for "violent shoving" of the fourth official earlier in the season.
With Newcastle now eighth in the league, banning Pardew until the end of the campaign (the remaining 10 games) doesn't seem out of the question, especially given that this is not the first occasion that the Newcastle boss has found himself in trouble with the governing body.
