Despite topping the group, Dortmund had to win in the last game week against Marseille to secure their progress. Zenit qualified in second position with just six points in their group after Porto were beaten 2-0 by Atletico Madrid in the final week.
Zenit come into this still in their winter break in the Russian Premier League. Luciano Spalletti's men have played a handful of friendlies over the last few weeks, but their last competitive match was against Austria Wien in the Champions league back in December, where they lost 4-1. William Hill price them at 7/2 (4.50) to win the first leg.
Dortmund also had a winter break, but returned from it at the end of January. Since then, Klopp's side have played six competitive matches, winning four of those games. Dortmund qualified from a tough group in the competition, overcoming the likes of Arsenal and Napoli. William Hill price BVB at 5/6 (1.83) to win this match, with the same firm pricing the draw at 12/5 (3.40).
Spalletti's men didn't struggle for goals too much in the group stages, scoring in five of their six games. With Dortmund also failing to score only once, the both teams to score bet would have been worth a play. However, the price of 4/7 (1.57) is a little skinny to touch.
Instead, it's worth looking at the outright market. Zenit have only managed one victory in the group stages, beating Porto 1-0 away. Despite this hard fought win, it's tough to back them against last year's finalists.
Dortmund managed four wins in the group stages, winning away against Arsenal and Marseille. With this in mind, it's tough to see anything other than a win for the Germans at 5/6 (1.83). When you also consider that Zenit haven't played a competitive match since mid-December, it's certainly worth backing the visitors.
