The Argentine boss has impressed since taking over from Nigel Adkins in January 2013, and the Saints currently sit eighth in the Premier League table with 39 points from 27 games.
There was doubt surrounding Pochettino's future where close friend and Southampton's former executive chairman Nicola Cortese departed the club last month, and despite deciding to stay with the south coast club, Pochettino has declared he would love to manage his former Parisien club one day.
"Why not? I liked coaching Espanyol where I was also a player. So yes, I'd like the opportunity to one day coach PSG," he told BeIn Sports.
"I enjoyed my spell there a lot and I had the chance to be captain of the team. I spent three wonderful years there.
"I always look at their results and see how they're getting on. They are among the top teams in Europe and I hope they will win the Champions League this season."
PSG top the French league by two points and have a game in hand over second-placed Monaco, while they look likely to progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a last-16 4-0 first-leg win at Bayer Leverkusen.
