France U20-Ghana U20 Betting Preview: Why the second half of the semi-final should see goals

With both sides in fine scoring form, Phil Kitromilides believes the second half of this match will see at least two goals scored
The first semi-final of the Under-20 World Cup is a re-run of one of the opening matches in Group A as France once again face Ghana.

In their previous meeting the French were comfortable 3-1 winners and Bet365 price them as the clear favourites at 3/5 (1.60) claim another win.

Ghana meanwhile, as they have been throughout the tournament, remain outsiders at 19/4 (5.40) yet the side from Africa have shown real resilience and an eye for goal on their way to the last four and are not to be underestimated.
Ghana's ruthless streak in front of goal has been mirrored by their Gallic opponents, with France winning each of their two matches in the knockout stages by scoring four times.

Goals look likely and over 2.5 in the match is offered at just 4/7 (1.57).
However, a more appealing bet could be backing over 1.5 goals in the second half at 8/11 (1.72).

This selection has paid out in all but one of the games played by both sides in the competition including that previous meeting in the group stages.

The nerves of a semi-final may make the first half slightly cagier but given the scoring record of the respective sides we should see at least two second-half goals.
For a value bet, back over 2.5 goals in the second half at 12/5 (3.40) which has paid out three times for Ghana and twice for France in this competition so far.
