As Goal exclusively revealed on Wednesday, Liverpool and Tottenham have made moves for Christian Benteke as they look to strengthen their strike-forces ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old Aston Villa striker had a brilliant first season in English football, scoring 23 goals in all competitions and attracting interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund as well as some of the Premier League's best and brightest.
Liverpool have already recruited Iago Aspas in the forward area but, with wantaway Luis Suarez's future shrouded in doubt, do the Reds need to invest further in strikers?
Spurs, who finished fifth in the Premier League in 2012-13, had their scoring charts led by star man Gareth Bale but neither of their orthodox centre forwards, Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor, broke the 20-goal barrier. But who needs Benteke more?
So what do you think? Would Benteke be more successful at Anfield or at White Hart Lane and who most needs a powerful striker of his kind?
