The Premier Leaue runners-up have drawn up a six-man shortlist with plans to spend as much as £120m, but who should they make their priority purchase during the transfer window?
After the disappointment of missing out on the Premier League title this season, Manchester City have been busy making plans to reinvigorate their squad this summer.
As revealed by Goal, director of football Txiki Begiristain, chief executive Ferran Soriano and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak have drawn up a six-man shortlist in a series of meetings to determine the club's transfer strategy.
The list features Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, Malaga playmaker Isco, Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara and Shakhtar Donetsk's Fernandinho, along with Argentinian defender Diego Novaretti and Sevilla's Jesus Navas.
But who is the most important summer signing for the managerless 2011-12 Premier League champions?
Do you think the Etihad Stadium outfit need to strengthen their strike force? Or are they lacking creativity in midfield? Perhaps you believe they need to bolster their defensive options?
