thumbnail Hello,

Al Hain-Cole has been mulling over where the Colombia striker will be playing his football next season, and suspects he may surprise a few people by moving to the French Riviera

Two years and 70 goals after his record-breaking move from Porto, Radamel Falcao seems set to leave Atletico Madrid this summer, having helped the club to their first trophy in 14 years and a place in next season's Champions League.

The Copa del Rey winners have promised not to stand in the striker’s way should he seek a move, prompting a scramble for his signature between Europe’s biggest clubs.

Odds from Bet Victor
Manchester City 1/1
Monaco 2/1
Manchester United 4/1
Chelsea 8/1
Real Madrid 20/1
Bayern Munich 33/1
The latest rumours suggest that Manuel Pellegrini’s first act upon being confirmed as Manchester City manager will be to trigger the Colombian’s €64 million (£54m) release clause, and Bet Victor are offering even money (2.00) on that deal going through.

That move would surely give City a strong chance of wrenching next season’s title back from Manchester United, who are available at 4/1 (5.00) to beat their neighbours to the signature, as they managed last year with Robin Van Persie.

Either transfer would come as a blow to Jose Mourinho, who is supposedly planning on returning to Chelsea with the South American in tow this summer, and the possibility of a potential swap deal involving Thibaut Courtois or Fernando Torres could make 8/1 (9.00) odds seem appealing.

However, the Premier League elite should be wary of Monaco, who seem intent on making an immediate impact on returning to Ligue 1, and are preparing to spend a wad of their Russian owners’ cash on bringing the forward to the tax haven principality.

With these surprising rumours gathering momentum, odds of 2/1 (4.00) are well worth a punt on Falcao joining Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva in a revitalised Ligue 1, particularly considering talk of a secretive underhand agreement.

With Atletico blocking any move to Real Madrid 20/1 (21.00), some believe the forward may use Monaco as a stepping stone to los Merengues, or even their rivals Barcelona 66/1 (67.00).

Bayern Munich have been arguably Europe’s most impressive team this season, and you can get odds of 33/1 (34.00) on incoming manager Pep Guardiola adding the former Porto man to his already formidable new team.

Italian football’s fading star makes a move to either Napoli 66/1 (67.00) or Juventus 66/1 (67.00) seem unlikely, while all the Roubles in the world may not be enough to tempt the superstar to Anzhi 66/1 (67.00) or Zenit St Petersburg 66/1 (67.00).
