Roy Hodgson's side go into the Group H World Cup 2014 qualifying clash knowing that victory will see them leapfrog their opponents who currently hold a two-point lead at the summit after five games apiece.
However, Gerrard believes that despite a potentially difficult atmosphere inside the stadium during the game, they have more than enough quality in the squad to pick up all three points.
"These are the big games you look forward to. It will be tough and a decisive game and we are looking forward to it," Gerrard told reporters.

"The level of our performance will be key. We believe we are more than capable of three points if we play to our maximum. We have to be at our best to beat a good Montenegro side."
The Three Lions will go into the game full of confidence, though, after beating San Marino 8-0 on Friday night and Gerrard believes they can carry their recent good form through to the Montenegro clash.
He added: "That momentum has come not just from Friday [against San Marino], but Brazil as well.
"The manager used the squad the other night and everyone is in good spirits coming up to the game."
