We are now halfway through the January transfer window and, despite few big moves being finalised so far, there is still plenty of time for teams to make new signings.
As yet, none of the Premier League teams who normally make good use of the transfer period have looked to bolster their squads, but there are rumours abound regarding several highly-regarded players from across Europe making their way to this country.
Internacional striker Leandro Damiao has been linked to Tottenham for a long time, while Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is also linked with moves to both Arsenal and Manchester United.
Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland is another young English player who has become one of the most exciting prospects in English football, and could be heading to Craven Cottage as Fulham have made him their top target.
Meanwhile, Tom Huddlestone is rumoured to be nearing the exit door at Spurs, with former manager Harry Redknapp at QPR reported to be interested in signing the midfielder after he fell in the pecking order.
Another young midfielder linked with a move is Tom Ince, who started his career at Liverpool before moving to Blackpool, but the Reds are rumoured to be interested in re-signing their former youngster.
Finally, several clubs are rumoured to be in with a chance of signing Loic Remy from Marseille, including QPR, but Newcastle believed to be closing in on an £8million deal as they look to replace Demba Ba up front.
Does the thought of Leandro Damiao at White Hart Lane sound like an interesting option? Should Zaha make the move to Old Trafford? Will Remy end up at Newcastle? Vote in our poll and have your say on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
