The 53-year-old coach is confident that the young Italian playmaker can rekindle the high level of form which earned him his move to the big-spending French outfit

Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti believes although Marco Verratti has had difficulties recently, the 20-year-old midfielder can regain his early-season form.

The young Azzurri international has struggled in Ligue 1 in recent weeks despite excelling in the opening stages of Les Parisien's campaign.

Verratti joined PSG from Pescara in the summer transfer window, signing a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 giants and, despite the youngster's performances slipping, Ancelotti remains confident that the diminutive Italian can find the form which caught his eye to begin with.

"He started very well and now he has some difficulties. This is normal, this is a new language, a new team," he told reporters.

"Sometimes I get angry with him, but I trust him. I know this is a good player, useful for the team. He will change for sure."
