The Uruguayan midfielder is confident the Nerazzurri can challenge the Old Lady on all fronts this season, while vowing to repay the club with some quality performances
Speaking in his first press conference as a Nerazzurri player, after joining on a season long loan deal from Napoli, the new recruit endeared himself to supporters, with a bullish assessment of their title credentials.
"I think we’re at the same level as Juventus, perhaps higher, and they are the reigning Italian champions," he claimed.
"I think we can vie for all three competitions."
The 28-year-old made his Inter debut in Sunday's emphatic 3-0 opening day victory over Pescara and he revealed coach Andrea Stramaccioni had personally requested his services to the club's hierarchy.
"I’ll play where the coach wants me to play," he vowed. "He really wanted me at this club and I want to demonstrate that I know how to play for a team like Inter."
"All of my new team-mates have been splendid, they’ve all welcomed me. I've been made to feel at home, especially by the South Americans."
