Official: Uzbekistan international Anvar Rajabov signs two-year deal with Thailand's Buriram United

The 24-year-old versatile player has finally secured his transfer to the Thunder Castle by penning a long-term contract and is expected to arrive on Sunday
Thai Premier League outfit Buriram United have confirmed the signing of Uzbekistan forward Anvar Rajabov from Bunyodkor.

The 24-year-old will wear the Thunder Castle's jersey number 10 after penning a two-year deal on and is scheduled to arrive in Thailand on next Sunday.

Buriram general manager Tadthep Pitakpoolsin revealed his excitement regarding Rajabov's signing.

"We highly appreciate the strength of Uzbek football players, and also wait for a lot of things from Rajabov. He should become one of the leaders in the team," he told reporters.

Responding to his move to Thailand, Rajabov expressed his happiness about the opportunity to play for an ambitious club which have a strong target in terms of continental success.

"I am glad to help the new club which sets an objective to again win all prestigious national trophies and in the upcoming new season in the AFC Champions League," he said.
