Alessandro Del Piero - playing his final Serie A game for Juventus - won our last Goal of the Week competition with over 58 per cent of the vote, with David Beckham finishing in second spot.

This week's Goal Show sees the return of the Brazilian Serie A, New York Red Bulls set the pace in the MLS, while we recap the major news from Europe, as Montpellier secure the Ligue 1 title.

Ahead of Wednesday's edition, we select our five favourite goals featured in the Goal Show and ask you to pick your favourite.

The Brazilian netted an equaliser for Flamengo in their opening game of the season, and his neat finish following a an impressive team move kick starts our top five.

Botafogo vs Sao Paulo

Lucas Moura played his part in this one as Jadson's clinical effort for Sao Paulo, but unfortunately for our second nominee his were on the wrong end of a 4-2 scoreline away to Botafogo.

Al-Shabab vs Persepolis

Persepolis reached the quarter finals of the Asian Champions League, with Badamaki's effort in stoppage time the crucial goal as they progressed past Al-Shabab.

Remi Mareval
Cercle Brugge vs Gent

The first of two goals from the same game in Belgian, as Mareval found the net for Gent with a free-kick.

Yassine El Ghanassy
Cercle Brugge vs Gent

At No. 5, Mareval's  team-mate El Ghanassy, who's strike helped Gent secure a 5-1 victory over Cercle Brugge in the first leg on in their play-off for Europa League football.
