The German giants will be able to offer significantly larger wages to players following their lucrative run to the Champions League final last season
The Schwarzgelben relinquished their grip on the Bundesliga title last term, but their run to the Champions League final has funded a significant increase of what they can offer both new and existing players.
"In the coming season, we will have a salary budget of between €67-68 million. This is certainly much more than two or three years ago," the Dortmund CEO told Welt am Sonntag.
"But compared to other teams in Europe, it is not much. Our growth is harmonious, a bridge between revenues and costs."
During the 2012-13 campaign, BVB's salary budget was worth €48.5m - still a significant increase from €31m of only two seasons prior.
