Terengganu will be hoping to continue their good form when they meet Johor in the league after eliminating Lions XII from the FA CupTerengganu will host Johor FC at Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah on saturday.
The home side will head into this match beaming with confidence after eliminating Lions XII from the FA cup. Terengganu have lost only one of their last six games, with last defeat coming at the hands of Kitchee SC in the AFC Cup.
Coach Mohd Mat Zan Mat Aris will be tempted to start in-form striker Francis Forkey Doe and Abdul Manaf Bin Mamat upfront. Midfielder Ismail Faruqi bin Ashari is still doubtful for the match after picking up an injury in the match against Lions XII but winger Mohd Ashaari Shamsuddin is expected to start after his bright start to the campaign.
Meanwhile, Johor were recently eliminated from the FA Cup by lowly Sime Darby FC. Despite the setback, K.Devan will be hoping to earn a vital victory over Terengganu and an upturn in fortunes for them. The Johor coach will look to start Arturo Henrique and Mohd Haris Safwan upfront with midfielder Eddy Helmi who is also expected to start.
Johor might feel optimistic knowing their away form is much better than their form at home. They have failed to win any of their last four home matches but managed to scrape out impressive away victories over Kuala Lumpur and Negri Sembilan.
Terengganu meanwhile are free-scoring when they are playing at Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah. They scored six past a helpless Sabah side and have won all five of their previous home matches. It will be an uphill battle for Johor if they wish to overcome Terengganu infront of their own fans.
Although Terengganu are favourites to win this fixture, they will have to give their all if they wish to earn a victory over Johor.
