A wounded Lions side will be looking to avenge the shock defeat to the Selangor-based side on Tuesday nightAfter 11 league matches the LionsXII finally tasted defeat and came in the hands of an unfancied opposition in the form of PKNS FC.
The distinctively mid-table side- they sit in ninth place with just three wins and eight draws to their name- ended the LionsXII's impressive run with a goal from Michal Nicoise ten minutes from the end.
That win was their second consecutive and only their third of the season, though PKNS do share an unusual record.
After the 1-0 defeat of LionsXII on Saturday night, PKNS are now the only team in the Malaysian Super League with an undefeated away record.
With five draws and one win, PKNS are in good standing for their visit to Jalan Besar Stadium.
V.Sundramoorthy's men however are still feeling the effect of a gruelling schedule. The former Singapore international offered fatigue as one of the reasons behind his team's loss.
Long-term casualty Khairul Amir who was slated to return last week is still in the running to make an appearance soon, as is Baihakki Khaizan who has also returned to training.
Khairul Nizam who was stretchered off after a mild concussion on Saturday night is also set to feature on Tuesday.
The LionsXII's lead at the top of the table has been cut to just five points having played three more games than second-placed Kelantan who are also in a mini-rut of form.
Tuesday night's match will kick-off at 745pm and will be broadcast live on Starhub Channel 201.
