One of the few players who could say he had a decent game for the hosts in the first half. Made two goal-saving clearances, and was then solid after the break.
Tested early on by Suarez, but beat the effort away well. Had no chance with the opener though, seeing Suarez roll it into the corner. Equally could not do much about the second but was a little slow in getting down for the third. Made an excellent save to deny Suarez a hat-trick.
Was unfortunate to see his clearance for the second goal rebound straight to Suarez. Made some good tackles in the second half, though.
Played well in the second half as a wing-back, but gave Downing too much room in the first half.
Quite simply not good enough against a player like Suarez. Allowed him far too much room and got turned easily by the Uruguayan for the opener. Didn't track Suarez for the third as he drifted wide. A pretty shabby display in the first half.
Almost anonymous in the first half. Switched to a wing-back role and had little more impact before being subbed to jeers from his own fans.
Head and shoulders above anyone in the team in terms of creativity, but it wasn't happening for him in the first half. Improved later on but didn't have many people around him to help.
Was tasked with keeping close to Gerrard but after the first goal that went out of the window. Went down after receiving a check from the Liverpool man, but made a lot of the contact he got. Had a go with a bicycle kick, but it went nowhere near the target. Rightfully booked for flinging himself to the floor. Had a few more efforts but they weren't great.
Awful opening half from the midfielder. Formed a defensive midfield partnership with Mbia, but didn't shield his defence from anything. Better in the second half, but it would be difficult not to be.
Seemed to be the only player with any running in him for the hosts. Moved up front in the second half and put the central defenders under more pressure than Cisse had.
Had no service in the first half, and was easily beaten in the air by the likes of Skrtel and Agger. Held the ball up when he occasionally got it into feet, earning a few throws by the corner flag.
His distribution has not always been great this season, but made some sublime passes. Made a couple of catches from Taarabt's curling efforts, but was otherwise a spectator for the opening 45 minutes.
A great header to put the match beyond doubt. Was fine up against Cisse, but struggled a little against the more combative Mackie. Still held strong though.
Made some good overlapping runs. His passing and crossing in the final third left a little to be desired early on. Kept his flank free of danger before tweaking a hamstring and leaving with 20 minutes to play.
A surging run to meet Skrtel's glorious pass was followed by a goal-mouth clearance from his cross. A criticism of him has often been that he isn't as solid at the back as he is when going forward, but this wasn't the case today.
Strong at the back. Played an outrageous pass to put Johnson through from all of 50 yards away, and dominated in the air in a good performance.
Looked up for the game from the beginning, winning the ball from his opponents a few times in the opening five minutes, and really looks to have grown in confidence. Played some nice passes, including the assist for Suarez's opener.
Kept the ball well in the first half. Allowed his team-mates to push on as he covered at the back. Perhaps let Taarabt get the better of him on occasion, and was somehow not booked for hauling the Moroccan back.
Was being marked tightly in the opening stages, but once Liverpool went ahead his influence grew. Picked some nice passes and demonstrated some quick thinking for the third goal. Was unfortunate to see his effort cleared off the line.
Quiet performance from the winger despite Liverpool's dominance. Didn't stretch the defence as much as he would have liked to, but picked some good passes and earned corners.
A very good first half for the winger. Was quick and found his team-mates well. Linked positively with Gerrard, especially with short corners, which led to the third goal. Quiet in the second half, and then switched to left-back after Enrique's departure.
Dropped deep to devastating effect. Was given far too much time and space for the opener, twisting his way past Hill to roll the ball past Cesar. Showed a predator's instinct to follow in his cross and convert an open goal for the second. Wasn't as involved in the second half, but the match was already won.
