LionsXII will be hoping to consolidate their hold at the top spot with a win against the neighbouring state
Winless at home and just one draw to show for, the home side have not been in the best of form and find themselves in the relegation zone.
But K.Devan's side managed to do something on Tuesday night that the LionsXII were not able to - hold Terengganu on their home turf.
An inspired performance by Johor garnered them a valuable point to add to the 13 they've picked up on the road but the Southern-Malaysian side remain two places off the foot of the table.
LionsXII meanwhile sit at the top of the table with a one point lead over Kelantan who have two games in hand over the Singapore side and will also be in action on the same day.
A pre-season meeting at Jalan Besar Stadium between the two sides ended in a 1-0 win for LionsXII with Shahril Ishak netting the winning goal and in the process recording the first victory for the then newly formed team.
Captain Shahril has since continued his inspired form and found the net again on Tuesday night against Negeri Sembilan after making his return to the starting line-up. A 4-2 win away from home fully established the title credentials for the team.
A first goal for Khairul Nizam who started in place of an injured Sufian Annuar was another encouraging factor given the setbacks the LionsXII have had with injuries plaguing the offensive players.
With the team slowly nearing full fitness and players finding their form, anything less than a victory will still be a disappointment for Sundram against a struggling side as he plans to extend his team's stay at the summit.
