Friendly Preview: Indonesia vs Timor Leste

A controversy-hit Indonesia welcome the visit of Emerson Alcantara's impressive minnows on Wednesday night in Jakarta

Indonesia will be looking forward to the visit of emerging neighbours,Timor Leste to Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on Wednesday night.

Head coach Nil Maizar will likely field an experimental squad after the suspension of Diego Michiels and an injury Hengki Ardiles.

This match also represents a good opportunity for the country's three naturalized players, Tonnie Cusell, Raphael Maitimo, Jhonny van Beukering, to impress Maizar. Those three along with Arthur Irawan, according to the coach, still needs to adapt with the team.

"They are quick to translate the coach's instructions. We are still giving opportunities to all the players. Overall they are good enough, but they still need to adapt to the team. I will continue to monitor their progress," said Nil Maizar earlier this week.

On the other hand, Timor Leste coach Emerson Alcantara will depend on midfield dynamos Carlos Diogo and Jesse Pinto to supply the ammunition needed by striker, Alan Leandro. Timur Leste have impressed many football spectators with a solid brand of football in the AFF Suzuki Cup qualifiers, which they missed by the slightest of margins.

This match will  be Timur Leste's first official friendly match under the guidance of Alcantara.
