Indonesia's Oktovianus Maniani is back in shape after a minor right leg injury. The Red and White team left winger has been training, and has a chance to face Laos. Raphael Maitimo will make his debut for Indonesia if he is enters the starting line-up.

Nil Maizar does not underestimate Laos, because he consideres all the teams in Group B to be of the same level. As the underdogs, Nil considers Laos to provide surprises. The Indonesian coach already knows the game of Laos by watching the videos of their opponents when they played in the qualifiers.

There are no significant obstacles in the selection of the starting line-up for Laos, all players are ready to play in their first match. Despite only registering 20 players, Laos coach Kokichi Kimura is confident that his team could put on a good performance in their first match saying:"It's no problem for us to bring only 20 players in here. We came here (Kuala Lumpur) with a high confidence and good team spirit."
