The 2013 Cambodian Hun Sen Cup champions were no match for the Protectors who cruised to a comfortable 5-0 victory to progressSingapore Cup holders Home United made light work of Cambodian outfit Nagacorp FC in the preliminary round match held at Jalan Besar Stadium on Friday night as they won 5-0.
The Protectors raced into a three-goal lead by the end of the first period of play through goals from Indra Sahdan, Lee Kwan Woo and Fazrul Nawaz.
Lee Lim Saeng had to do without influential pair Qiu Li and Noh Rahman, who were both carrying over suspensions from last season but still found no trouble making progress.
Indra needed just over 20 minutes to break the deadlock after getting on the end of a Yasir Hanapi pass, and just over 10 minutes later Lee Kwan Woo would double the lead from the penalty spot after a handball decision.
Fazrul then made it 3-0 just at the end of the first-half approached, volleying in from a Kwon Dakyung pass.
Home passed on several more opportunities before late substitutes Ahmad Fahmie and Fazli Ayob got themselves on the scoresheet in the 80th and 87th minute respectively.
