Club Brugge have just one long-term absentee, with midfielder Victor Vazquez (collarbone) expected to be out until late December.

Meanwhile, Newcastle have a number of injury problems to deal with going into the game. Yohan Cabaye (hamstring) is a doubt, as is Demba Ba (calf).

James Perch (thigh) is expected to be out for a month, while Dan Gosling (knee) is still unavailable. Rob Elliot (groin) is also set to miss out once more, while Ryan Taylor and Haris Vuckic (both knee ligament) are set to miss the majority of the campaign.
