  • Right then, fellow Goal comrades, I've had a ball of time describing the action from today's game and I hope you've enjoyed following it. I have been, and am quite likely to remain, Sion Cleaver. Until next time, stay classy.
  • There we have it! It's full-time at the Reebok and it ends 2-2 between Bolton and Sunderland. The hosts took a two goal lead early in both halves but a Black Cats fightback did well to level things after the break. This clash will now go to a replay in midweek, what a tie that will be.
  • 90' + 2'
Bolton seem to be hanging on to settle for a replay at the Stadium of Light here, seconds left to run of this one.
  • 90' + 1'
CHANCE! Late chance from Sunderland, an in-swinging ball thunders into the box and is met by a Titus Bramble header into the side netting.
  • 90'
The official attendance at this FA Cup clash is 12,204, not a massive amount of Bolton fans here but there's 5,000 very loud Sunderland fans thoroughly enjoying their day out. So they should too, they've been excellent for the most part today have the Black Cats.
  • 89'
Bolton attempt to break upfield, but Sunderland's defence is water-tight. Possession is back in the visitors' favour now.
  • 87'
Fairly uneventful second corner, Bolton clear it easily. It looks like we're in for an enthralling finish here, the hosts are trying to throw everything at their opponents but Sunderland are looking comfortable.
  • 85'
Sunderland get a corner, Whickham takes it. The ball goes up high and is deflected off a Bolton shoulder, another corner for the Black Cats.
  • 83'
Johnson fires in a wells-struck cross from the left wing to find Wickham, the striker takes a run with the ball before being charged down. No foul there, play on.
  • 80'
    Substitution David Ngog Chris Eagles
  • 80'
The travelling contingent of Sunderland fans are in full voice now, real cup tie atmosphere here now, both teams believe they can win it.
  • 79'

Set piece as a result of that foul, Gardner steps up to take, he goes for a blazing strike on goal but it goes well over.
  • 77'
Gardner is fouled from 30-yards out, free-kick to the visitors.
  • 75'
    Goal Craig Gardner
GOAAAAL! What a thunderous goal from Craig Gardner! Sunderland have levelled things here with just over ten minutes to go. The hosts fail to clear from a corner and the ball comes out to Gardner who lets loose an absolute thunderbolt straight into the top corner, Lonergan never had a chance.
  • 74'
Fletcher gets in a header on target, easy save from Lonergan however.
  • 72'
WHAT A CHANCE! It should be 2-2 here. Wickham goes up for a thundering header that goes just wide of the post. Bolton are in real trouble now.
  • 70'
Sunderland are constantly in the Bolton half now, passing it from midfield to the forwards, back to the midfield again and occasionally a shot on target ensues. The Black Cats are looking very dangerous now.
  • 68'
Sunderland grab back possession after a short spell of play from Bolton near the centre circle. The Black Cats look to break but their attack fizzles out.
  • 66'
Johnson steps up to take a free-kick for the visitors, he fires in a dangerous low ball through the box but Lonergan is there for the save.
  • 63'
    Substitution Marvin Sordell Kevin Davies
Marvin Sordell, the scorer of Bolton's second, comes off for Kevin Davies in an attempt to freshen things up for the home side.
  • 62'
It's game on at the Reebok now, Sunderland are surely favorites to take this to a replay but I wouldn't be surprised if they take the victory late-on here. Bolton really need to pull their socks up.
  • 60'
    Goal Connor Wickham
GOAAAAL FOR SUNDERLAND! It's 2-1! The Black Cats start their fightback with a deserved goal from Conor Whickham, who fires a close range effort underneath Lonergan and into the net just seconds after the Bolton keeper had produced another excellent save from a Bramble header.

  • 56'
CHANCE! McClean curls long range effort in from the wing, it finds the run of Fletcher who heads it just over the bar. Better from Sunderland now after a woeful few minutes.
  • 54'
Sunderland are pressing more now, they come close with an effort just outside the box from Johnson, no real danger though as it goes wide.
  • 52'
PENALTY SHOUTS! Sunderland are calling for a penalty here. Steven Fletcher goes over in the area after a light challenge from a Bolton defender, referee Michael Jones is having none of it. Play continues.
  • 50'
Here's Nicholas McGee again on that Bolton second goal: "Just minutes into the second half and it gets worse for Sunderland, who concede a poor corner before failing to clear the danger and allowing Marvin Sordell to nod past Mignolet from close range. The Wearsiders quickly try and respond on the counter, but Lonergan produces a world class save to deny Fletcher from point-blank range."
  • 48'
    Goal Marvin Sordell
GOAAAAL! It's 2-0 to Bolton! Sordell doubles his side's lead with a magnificently struck header after some shocking defending from the home side.
  • 47'
Sunderland immediately snatch possession from the home team and play it up upfield, the visitors are looking just as dangerous as they did in the first-half.
  • 45'
Things are back underway here, Bolton get us going for the second-half.
  • Here's some words from Goal.com's very own Nicholas McGee, who's been watching the clash from the Reebok: "Sunderland emerge for the second half after a first half in which they will feel slightly aggrieved not to have ended on level terms. The Black Cats controlled proceedings for much of the first 45 minutes, but trail the Championship side thanks to Chung-Yong Lee's somewhat fortuitous opener."
  • Right, I'm off to grab myself a half-time snack in the form of a ham and cheese sandwich - real FA Cup food. I shall see you fine folk back here in a few minutes time for the second-half, don't go anywhere.
  • There's a lot of positives to be taken from Sunderland's first-half performance. Bolton however need to grab this game by the scruff of the neck if they want to hang onto this lead.
  • There we go! It's half-time at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton are hanging onto their lead in spectacularly narrow fashion here. The visitors have looked like the better team for the majority of the match, they failed to get into the game in the opening ten minutes but have since dominated. Martin O'Neill will be hoping for more of the same come the second-half. It's 1-0 to Bolton at the break.
  • 45' + 3'
Stoppage time runs over a little here, Larsson tries to pick out Fletcher with a swinging cross but the resultant header goes well over.
  • 45'
Just two minutes of stoppage time to go before the whistle blows for half-time.
  • 44'
After a resurgent few minutes from Bolton, it looks like they're hanging on for the half-time whistle here. Sunderland however, are looking to break and level things up before the break.
  • 42'
Larsson takes the resultant corner on the left, ball goes up and the clearance comes in immediately from the Bolton defence.
  • 41'
McClean drives a pacey ball in from the left, it attempts to find the run of Fletcher who's looking for the header, but Ricketts clears the ball away for Sunderland corner.
  • 39'
Breakdown in communication between Bramble and Mignolet there, the former goes for what looks to be a slow pass back to Mignolet in goal, but the latter doesn't go for it. Sordell takes a sneaky opportunistic run but Mignolet gathers very narrowly. Hairy moment for O'Neill's Black Cats there.
  • 37'
Bolton on the attack now, N'gog breaks from the Sunderland midfield before scrambling with the defence on the edge of the Black Cats area, he turns nicely on the ball before taking a rather aimless strike, it's way off target.
  • 35'
    Substitution Joe Riley Tyrone Mears
Second first-half change of the game, Joe Riley comes off for Tyrone Mears.
  • 34'
Bolton are trying desperately to get back in this now, they may be leading but surely not for long if they're defence keeps up with this performance. Sunderland are constantly in the hosts' half and are looking very dangerous on the attack.
  • 33'
Ricketts heads away a dangerous deep cross from McClean. Johnson chases the ball before taking an aimless strike at the far post, no danger at all there.
  • 30'
Johnson steps up for the set-piece, he launches a ball into the area from the far right but Lonergan in goal for the hosts nudges it just wide. It's all Sunderland at the moment.
  • 29'
Bardsley produces a lovely longball to find the run of Johnson, who takes a nice run before producing a cross into the area only to see Pratley become a little too aggressive in anticipation of the ball, he concedes a free-kick.
  • 27'
Another corner is hooked in by Larsson, the ball enters a penalty area frenzy and is headed wide for a goal kick.
  • 26'
Larsson's curling corner is narrowly tipped over the bar by Lonergan. Another corner for the Black Cats.
  • 25'
The visitors are enjoying a lot of action in the Bolton half at the moment, Wanderers conceded successive corners.
  • 23'
Petrov takes a Bolton free kick from the left, the hosts don't look too enthused to make a climb for the header as the defensive-combination of Larsson and Cuellar clear for the visitors.
  • 21'
Sunderland looking a bit more positive now, McClean takes a charging run upfield but his run is stopped short just outside the Bolton area.
  • 19'
    Substitution Danny Rose Jack Colback
Rose looks to have suffered an injury to his hamstring, big blow for Sunderland. Colback has come on for the visitors in a left-back position.
  • 19'
That was Sunderland's first chance on-goal this game and the first time Bolton keeper Lonergan has had to actually do something. Worrying times for O'Neill.
  • 18'
CHANCE! Gardner takes a lovely one-touch pass before drilling a low but powerful shot straight into the arms of Lonergan.
  • 16'
Larsson takes a well-struck corner from the left, a scramble in the box ensues but Bolton deal with it and danger is averted for the leading side.
  • 14'
The Reebok has gone eerily quiet, the home faithful have been very discreet all game and are continuing to do so now even though they're ahead. Sunderland's fans, who were extremely lively before the goal, are now completely silent.
  • 12'
    Goal Chung-Yong Lee
GOAAAL! Bolton take the lead here, Chung-Yong Lee capitalises on a Cuellar mistake before taking advantage of an out of position Mignolet to tap the ball into the back of the net. Horrible goal to concede.
  • 8'
Petrov, who's been very active in this opening period, concedes a corner for the hosts. Sunderland take but the home side clear easily.
  • 6'
Quite scrappy in the opening moments here, possession is changing hands every few seconds in midfield. No team looks on top at the moment.
  • 4'
Petrov takes a run down the left, Bolton looking very offensive again on the break, but the visitors regain possession and attempt a break upfield but to no avail.
  • 2'
CHANCE! Bolton get the first chance of the game with Petrov taking a dribble on the outside of the Sunderland box before making a lovely turn and spin on the ball and smashing a cracker at Mignolet, the ball goes just wide of the mark.
  • 1'
We're off! The visitors get us going with a slow yet attacking movement up field, possession fizzles out and Bolton clear it back into the midfield. This one has a real Cup tie feeling.
  • The teams are out and the visiting Sunderland fans are extremely vocal in the run up to this one. Just a minute or so to go now.
  • Looks like we're in for a tight affair at the Reebok then, we' ve got some eight minutes to go before kick-off. I'm going to head for my pre-match coffee, stay tuned for some FA Cup action right here come 3 o'clock.
  • The hosts are quite familiar when it comes to recent results, losing to Leeds last time out after successfully destroying Birmingham the game before that.
  • Form-wise, both Bolton and Sunderland are suffering from inconsistencies in their respective divisions. Sunderland have lost their last two games to Liverpool and Tottenham, yet they overturned Manchester City just before that.
  • Both teams have very light benches this afternoon, Sunderland have declared only 6 subs, with Bolton having only 7 on the sidelines. Take from that what you will.
  • Sunderland XI: Mignolet, Bardsley, Rose, Bramble, Cuellar, Johnson, McClean, Gardner, Vaughan, Larsson, Fletcher. Subs: Westwood, Campbell, Wickham, McFadden, Kilgallon, Colback
  • Bolton XI: Lonergan, Riley, Knight, Ricketts, Alonso, Chung-Yong, Andrews, Pratley, Petrov, Ngog, Sordell. Subs: Bogdan, Mears, Ream, K Davies, Eagles, Spearing, Lester
  • Let's kick things off with some team news then shall we, yes? Good, let's begin.
  • Afternoon boys and girls, the Premier League is taking a break this weekend with the FA Cup taking its place. My name is Sion Cleaver and I will be guiding you through Bolton's home clash against Sunderland, a tale of Championship vs Premier League. This is hardly going to be a David vs Goliath battle either, we're undoubtedly in for a hard-fought, tight game here at the Reebok Stadium.
