The Clasico discussion and reaction continues here...http://www.goal.com/en/live-update/521/el-clasico-live
Full time in the Clasico! Barcelona are through! A truly fantastic game of football in which Real Madrid came from two goals down to make the game equal at 2-2. However, the 2-1 advantage from the first leg for Pep Guardiola's side has ultimately saw them progress. Jose Mourinho's side were arguably the better team in the game but they are knocked out. Thank you for joining us on Goal.com! Stay tuned on Goal.com International for more on the Clasico!
90' + 2'
Yellow Card Pepe
90' + 1'
Yellow Card Carles Puyol
90' + 1'
Pepe earns his customary Clasico booking after coming through the back of Dani Alves. Very silly from the Portuguese as it will simply run down the clock for Barca!
The time is running out for Real Madrid. There is three minutes of stoppage time in Camp Nou. Surely their cannot be another twist in the tail?
Yellow Card Esteban Granero
Yellow/Red Sergio Ramos
It is all getting very angry on the field now. Esteban Granero goes in on Gerard Pique with his studs up and the players are involved in another scuffle. Who would referee a Clasico?!
Sergio Ramos is sent off! A second bookable offence sees the Real Madrid defender leave the field after appearing to put an arm across the face of Sergio Busquets. That looked very harsh!
Barcelona have dropped back slightly deeper now. This looks as if it is going to be a Real Madrid onslaught for the last five minutes of the match. Is there a moment of real drama left in the game?
Mesut Ozil shows fantastic determination down the right-hand side to earn his side a corner kick. The set-piece comes in and Ronaldo leaps up and glances a header at goal but it goes wide!
Very close to a Barcelona goal!! Messi cuts inside from the right and glides past some challenges before attempting to guide a shot into the right corner but it goes just by the post!
Ronaldo runs down the channel and attempts to latch on to a pass over the top of the defence. He gets there and unleashes a powerful half-volley on goal but who else is there but Carles Puyol who makes a fantastic sliding challenge to block the shot.
Yellow Card Fabio Coentrao
HUUUYYYYY!!! Messi's dipping free kick goes a whisker over the crossbar! The crowd certainly thought it was in and it had Iker Casillas scrambling too! 10 minutes left for Real Madrid to score.
A Barcelona free kick in the Madrid half may take the sting out of the match now. Messi was flying towards the goal again but Coentrao came in from behind and took out the Argentine.
A very tense atmosphere in Camp Nou now. Pep Guardiola makes a defensive substitution as Alexis Sanchez comes off to be replaced by Javier Mascherano.
Real Madrid are certainly in the ascendancy now! There is much more belief in their play now and there looks to be another goal in this match, but who for?
What a spirited reply from Mourinho's men. They have been truly fantastic this evening, and don't deserve to be heading out. However, we still have more than 15 minutes remaining? The greatest comeback since Lazarus?
Goal Karim Benzema
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!!! Its all square!! Karim Benzema takes advantage of some slack defending from Barca to juggle the ball into the box with a series of touches before smashing a strike home with a half-volley!! 2-2!
The Camp Nou faithful give Pepe some abuse from the stands again after he appears to slap Fabregas in the face. That was the last action of the match for Cesc, who is replaced by Thiago.
Goal Cristiano Ronaldo
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!!! And its Cristiano Ronaldo!! Mesut Ozil finds space in midfield to slide an excellent pass through to the Portuguese who shows composure to take the ball around Pinto and pass into the net! 2-1 now and a glimmer of hope for Madrid!
The last club to score three goals at Camp Nou was Villarreal back in 2009. That is what Real Madrid have to do if they are to progress to the semi-final of the Copa del Rey. Camp Nou is a true fortress for Pep Guardiola's side.
Better from Madrid. Arbeloa drives down to the byline and stands up a lovely cross to the back post for Jose Callejon but the substitute mis-times his header and a grateful Pinto claims the ball. Callejon should have done better but inspiring play from the visitors.
The second half has had a completely different complexion that the first period so far. Real Madrid look like a different team, they look truly down heartened at conceding those goals after bossing the match. However, Barca are now the bosses.
Jose Mourinho has now made all three of his substitutions. Esteban Granero replaced Diarra earlier and Kaka and Higuain have now been replaced by Karim Benzema and Jose Callejon.
Messi goes into overdrive with a powerful dribble through the middle again. He looked to be beckoning on goal but an uncharacteristic poor touch from the Argentine allows Arbeloa to nick possession.
It is all Barcelona at the moment. They are setting up their neat triangles in midfield and Madrid look unable to regain possession. Real Madrid must be very careful not to get too frustrated.
Pepe is down on the floor again after a late challenge from Cesc Fabregas. To be fair to the Portuguese this time he did look to be caught just on the achilles by the former Arsenal man.
Yellow Card Cristiano Ronaldo
GOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! Wait! No!!! Alonso's free kick gets whipped in to the back post and Sergio Ramos powers a header into the net! However, the referee whistles for a foul on Dani Alves! That looked harsh on Madrid there!
Free kick for Real Madrid now in the final third. Ronaldo showed a fantastic change of pace to drive down the left wing but was fouled by Dani Alves. Xabi Alonso to take the set-piece.
Xavi's free kick goes high and wide to the right of the goal. It is the Barcelona maestro's birthday today so Happy Birthday Xavi!
Free kick on the edge of the box for Barca as Messi jinks in between challenges before being fouled by the trailing leg of Sergio Ramos. Fantastic position for an attempt at goal.
Barcelona start the second half at a high tempo. Their passing looks incredibly slick and they are playing with bags of confidence and gusto now. Up to Real Madrid to get back into the match.
The second half has kicked off in Camp Nou. Heres hoping we get the same calibre of entertainment that we did in the first half!
Lets get some Twitter predictions for the second half. The general consensus before the match was a 2-1 or 3-1 victory to Barcelona. What do we think now?
Well, well, well. What an astonishing, breathless half of football. Barca are two goals to the good, but even they must be wondering quite how they are ahead. Madrid, as predicted, pay for their profligacy in front of goal.
Half time in Barcelona. What an incredible match we have seen so far. Two moments of brilliance from the home side have arguably took this game beyond Real Madrid, who have undoubtedly been the superior side. You do not want to miss the second half! Join us in 15 minutes!
45' + 3'
Goal Daniel Alves
45' + 1'
Yellow Card Iker Casillas
Yellow Card Lionel Messi
Lassana Diarra is very lucky not to be sent off! The Frenchman is already booked and goes in very, very late on Lionel Messi! How he has not been shown a red card is a mystery! All the players are involved in a mini brawl as the referee attempts to control things!
Lionel Messi perhaps extracting a small bit of revenge out of Pepe for the hand stamp in the first leg. The Argentine clips the heals of the Madrid man, much to the delight of the Camp Nou crowd.
GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR BARCELONA!!!!! Messi the architect! The Argentine goes on a powerful run through the centre and splits Pepe and Arbeloa with a pinpoint pass to Pedro, who smashes home into the bottom left corner!!!
Free kick to Real Madrid as Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique sandwich Ronaldo with a couple of sliding challenges. It is all getting a bit heated out there.
A tremendous match so far. Real Madrid have had the majority of the opportunities in the match with Barcelona only having a few speculative long range shots. The game is on a knife edge.
Xabi Alonso has screened the Real Madrid defence excellently thus far. He has been disciplined in the midfield area and made a couple of important interceptions whenever Barcelona have been counterattacking.
Pepe is the pantomime villain again. The Madrid man goes down in his own box after Carles Puyol gives him a light touch on the back. The Portuguese does not do himself a lot of favours.
Cristiano Ronaldo has worked tirelessly down the left-hand side for Real Madrid. Moments ago the Portuguese sprinted all the way back to the byline to make an excellent interception on Lionel Messi.
Yellow Card Sergio Ramos
Sergio Ramos receives a yellow card for a robust challenge on Dani Alves. To be fair to the Madrid man, he clearly got the ball but took the Brazilian out with the follow through. Slightly harsh booking.
Barcelona are slowing down the tempo of the match now with patient passing in the midfield area. Probably an intelligent tactic to halt the ascendancy of Real Madrid.
An unwanted sight for Barcelona fans. Midfield maestro Iniesta comes off with an arm injury and is replaced by Pedro. You would fancy Fabregas to drop back into midfield now.
How many chances do Real Madrid want? Surely they will be made to rue these missed opportunities if they don't take advantage before the half is out. No exaggeration to suggest that the visitors have utterly dominated so far
Yellow Card Lassana Diarra
Real Madrid with another missed opportunity!! Pinto attempts to pass the ball out from the back but Higuain intercepts and attempts to curl the ball into the corner with his left foot but the Barcelona goalkeeper redeems himself by making a strong save!
An unbelievable attempt from Mesut Ozil!!! The German shifts the ball onto his left foot 25 yards from goal and hits an wicked strike towards goal only to hit the woodwork!! It looked like a combination of the post and the bar that stopped it! So unlucky for Madrid!!
Carles Puyol goes on a marauding run through the centre and shrugs off a number of challenges before taking a slightly heavy touch and allowing Madrid to regain possession. The visitors looked very open through the middle!
Another strong and purposeful start from Real Madrid, but remember they have begun well in the previous Clasicos this season, and have had little to show for it at the final whistle. Can they maintain this level of intensity for longer tonight?
Barcelona play the ball out from the back as the Madrid attackers press intensely. An admirable tactic of the hosts but they looked a little shaky under pressure there.
Real Madrid stick two corner kicks into the Barcelona box but the hosts remain solid for the time being. Jose Mourinho's side have definitely had the better of the match so far. They look very dangerous on the counterattack.
Ronaldo finds space just inside the Barcelona box near the touchline and attempts to drive a cross across goal but Dani Alves remains solid to deflect the ball out for a Madrid corner kick.
Cesc Fabregas runs down the left-hand side and cuts a pass in to Lionel Messi, who has the full goal to aim at from the edge of the box but puts his shot wide of the left post!
Real Madrid are just enjoying their first period of extended possession currently, their first in the match. Barcelona are doing well to press them at the moment, however. The Camp Nou crowd provide a chorus of jeering whenever Pepe touches the ball.
Real Madrid counterattack at high pace through Kaka down the centre. The Brazilian then slides the ball to Ronaldo down the left who drives forward before lashing a left-footed shot at goal which Pinto saves with his legs! That was almost a carbon copy of his goal from the first leg!
Alexis Sanchez latches onto a glorious pass from Xavi between the Madrid central defenders but the Chilean's first touch lets him down and Iker Casillas manages to snatch the ball.
Dani Alves smashes a shot directly at the Real Madrid wall, which remained solid. Madrid then manage to clear the ball up the park. Barca just starting to stamp their authority on possession now.
Lionel Messi goes on a signature high tempo run down the centre but a combination of Kaka and Sergio Ramos concede the foul on the Argentine. Free kick to Barcelona from in a good position.
First attempt on goal from Cristiano Ronaldo. Mesut Ozil cuts in from the right-hand side and plays the ball to the feet of the Portuguese who turns and smashes a shot just wide of the left-hand post.
Neither Barcelona or Real Madrid kept a clean sheet in their four head-to-head-meetings this season so this suggests that we can look forward to plenty of goals this evening.
A fantastic save from Pinto!! Kaka whips in a free kick to the back post and Higuain stretches to catch a sweet half-volley but the Barcelona goalkeeper remains big to make an brilliant save! A very high paced start to the match.
What a miss from Higuain!!!! Gerard Pique allows the Argentine in within 10 seconds of the whistle but the Real Madrid striker curls the ball the wrong side of the post! An incredible start to the match!
The Clasico has kicked off! Real Madrid need to score at least two goals to progress this evening due to the 2-1 advantage Barcelona have. So we are surely in for a treat this evening!
We are very close to kick off now as the teams are composing themselves inside the tunnel. The Clasico is always special, so hopefully we get a footballing display worthy of the occasion!
In the last thirty years, Real Madrid have beaten Barcelona just 6 times at Camp Nou. Three times in La Liga, once in the Copa, once in the Supercopa, and once in the Champions League.
Barcelona have never lost a two-legged tie after winning the first leg 2-1 away. The Catalans have also scored in all 10 cup games they played against Real Madrid at home.
History suggests that it is the Catalan side who will be progressing to the semi-finals this evening. The statistics are not inspiring for Jose Mourinho's men.
So Pep Guardiola opts for the same starting line-up as the previous leg. However, Jose Mourinho makes a few interesting choices for his first XI. Gonzalo Higuain is given the nod ahead of Karim Benzema in attack, both Mesut Ozil and Kaka start, and, perhaps most interestingly, Pepe starts the match. The Portuguese international put in a rather robust performance in the last leg, and appeared to stamp on the hand of Lionel Messi. He was rumoured to have a calf injury this week, but is given the nod at the back.
This is the starting XI of Real Madrid: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pepe, Coentrao; Diarra, Xabi Alonso; Kaka, Ozil, Ronaldo; Higuain
The teams have been announced and this is how Barcelona will be lining up tonight: Pinto; Alves, Pique, Puyol, Abidal; Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta; Messi, Fabregas, Sanchez

Barcelona and Real Madrid contest the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie at Camp Nou, with Pep Guardiola's men coming into the match with a narrow 2-1 advantage from the previous encounter, in which Carles Puyol and Eric Abidal scored to cancel out Cristiano Ronaldo's early goal to seal the win for the Catalan club.
