  • D. Ospina

    D. Ospina

The Colombian goalkeeper was in good form to deny Menez and Ibrahimovic, but was able to count on his brilliant defence on a few occasions.

  • Renato Civelli

    Renato Civelli

Like Pejcinovic, the former Olympique Marseille man was a solid rock in the first half, as he thwarted Menez with a series of blocks, interceptions and tackles. A fantastic 90 minutes.

  • T. Kolodziejczak

    T. Kolodziejczak

The left-back was superb in his attacking forays, and, whilst he was rather average at the back, he contributed well to Nice’s comeback surge in the second half.

  • Nemanja Pejcinovic

    Nemanja Pejcinovic

The Serbian centre-back marshalled the likes of Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi well, with his tackling and superb blocking ensuring that the first half remained scoreless. Carried his form into the second half too.

  • Romain Genevois

    Romain Genevois

The young defender was competent on the far side, as he constantly linked up well with Jeremy Pied and threaten down the right wing. Should have done better on the defensive side of things, however.

  • Didier Digard

    Didier Digard

The Nice captain was assured in his duties this evening, as he asserted his authority in a fiercely competitive midfield. Shielded his defenders well, as PSG threatened late on.

  • Mahamane El Hadji Traoré

    Mahamane El Hadji Traoré

Quieter than his midfield team-mates, Traore did contribute well to defending his side in the middle of the park. Solid, if not spectacular.

  • Valentin Eysseric

    Valentin Eysseric

A superbly taken goal which proved to be Nice’s winner - Eysseric was a constant threat throughout. Creatively, he stifled the back four, and will be happy with his performance.

  • Jérémy Pied

    Jérémy Pied

The former Olympique Lyonnais man was at times a peripheral figure, but his crossing ensured that Nice could trouble the visitors on more than one occasion. Was particularly active before being substituted for Abriel.

  • Eric Bautheac

    Eric Bautheac

The former Dijon man was probably Nice’s best attacking player in the first half, as he tussled for large periods with Jallet. His dribbling and passing was a particular highlight, even if his set piece deliveries were a bit wide of the mark. Scored the opening goal, and was a genuine threat throughout.

  • Darío Cvitanich

Darío Cvitanich Top of the Match

The Argentine striker has been a real revelation for the Cote d’Azur side, and this continued this evening. His trickery led to the opener, as he gave the PSG back four more than a headache. A fantastic game.

Substitutions

  • Fabrice Abriel

    Fabrice Abriel

Came on for Pied with 19 minutes to go, and while participating in the late flurry of goals, was no more than a spectator.

  • Neal Maupay

    Neal Maupay

The 16-year-old was given five minutes at the end of the game.

  • Nicolas Douchez

    2.50

    Nicolas Douchez

In the side for the injured Salvatore Sirigu, Douchez endured a difficult game, and remained a liability with Bautheac’s crosses. Could be questioned with Eysseric’s winner.

  • Thiago Silva

    2.00

    Thiago Silva

The Brazilian was the main reason for PSG’s cup exit on Tuesday, but did not manage to redeem himself with a strong showing. Positioning on both Nice’s goals was rather questionable.

  • Alex

    3.00

    Alex

The former Chelsea man was the better of the two centre-backs, as he remained solid throughout, despite those around him being exposed to the fast nature of the host’s attacks.

  • Maxwell

    2.00

    Maxwell Flop of the Match

Not his best game in a PSG shirt by all accounts, as he was well out-muscled in a feisty midfield. Dropped back to left-back, but it did not improve his performance.

  • Sylvain Armand
    0
    0
    2.50

    Sylvain Armand

Perhaps the weak link in an otherwise strong Parisian side. Armand looked suspect at the back, and gave away a needless yellow against Pied. Substituted in favour of Pastore.

  • Christophe Jallet

    3.50

    Christophe Jallet

The right-back returned to the starting line-up, and was given a particular headache by Bautheac. Nevertheless, his aerial ability showed, as he denied the hosts on more than a few occasions. Replaced by Van der Wiel later in the second half.

  • Jérémy Menez

    1
    3.50

    Jérémy Menez

Menez‘s return from injury was a welcome tonic for a flagging PSG side, and it showed once more. His creativity is second-to-none, but his team-mates were not on the same wavelength.

  • Blaise Matuidi
    0
    0
    2.00

    Blaise Matuidi

Matuidi had previously been one of PSG’s best players of the season, but his reputation took a nosedive with two silly yellow cards - one for pushing over Ospina, as he was sent off to cap off a rather below-par performance.

  • Clément Chantôme
    0
    0
    2.50

    Clément Chantôme

The defensive midfielder started brightly, getting stuck in, but embarked on a steady decline throughout before being subbed in favour of Hoarau.

  • Ezequiel Lavezzi
    0
    0
    3.00

    Ezequiel Lavezzi

A decent performance from Lavezzi, who should have broken the deadlock. Active throughout, he didn’t shy away from challenges, but was not on his best form.

  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic
    0
    1
    2.00

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Ibrahimovic might have scored a brilliant free-kick to equalise, but it does not hide away the fact that it was a poor performance from the Swede. Isolated, he took time to get into the match, before lashing out towards the end, and escaping a red card.

Substitutions

  • Gregory van der Wiel
    0
    0

    Gregory van der Wiel

The Dutchman’s torrid start to life in Paris continues, as he was easily beaten by Cvitanich for the opener. Was unusually suspect in his short time on the field.

  • Javier Pastore
    0
    0

    Javier Pastore

The Argentine continued to be benched due to a lack of confidence, but his introduction gave a different edge to Ancelotti’s side. Did well to test Ospina with a fine effort, but not much else.

  • Guillaume Hoarau
    0
    0

    Guillaume Hoarau

Came on with 11 minutes to go, and was not an active figure.
