Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on target twice as PSG ran out easy winners in their clash with Bastia in Corsica, and Goal.com was on hand to assess the performances of everyone involved
Was left embarrassingly exposed by his defence for the opening goal, and there was little he could do about the others either. Only had one save to make otherwise.

Flop of the Match
Partly culpable for the opening goal as he failed miserably to track Menez’s run. The main threat from the visiting side tended not to come from his areas. Came off with around 20 minutes left.

The experienced defender has never had to cope with a threat such as Ibrahimovic before, and though the Swede was ultimately decisive, the defender actually did quite a good job of shackling him for long periods.

The giant centre-back had a nightmarish start to this encounter, misjudging Nene’s free kick totally in the lead up to PSG’s opening goal. Made a number of slips in this encounter.

Harek Féthi
Bombed down the left flank rather well on a regular basis to threaten the visiting side and got some dangerous centres into the box.

Missed a fine opportunity to draw his side back into the game when he headed wide from close range. In terms of his usual defensive duties, he played a solid game.

Wahbi Khazri
A fizzing shot early in the match brought the best out of Sirigu, and then tested the Italy keeper with a free kick that was destined for the top corner had it not been for the shot-stopper’s flying palm.

Started the match in fine fashion, delivering a wicked ball into the cross. Was not able to maintain this high level of influence throughout, but he enjoyed a strong game nevertheless. Always keen to put his boot in but was booked as a result. Replaced midway through the second half.

His hard running punched some significant holes in the PSG midfield, but when it came to the moment of truth he was found to be just a little lacking in quality.

Jérôme Rothen
A particularly special occasion for the former PSG player, and he was a pest to his former club, notably winding Van der Wiel up so much that the defender should have been dismissed.

Worked immensely hard in attack for the Corsicans and looks a far more complete player than the raw youngster who turned out in Ligue 1 for Arles previously. Despite his industry and useful hold up play, he got no change from the defence.

The teenager played 20 minutes towards the end and impressed.
Had to be brave in the game’s opening second as he fielded a dangerous cross at the feet of an onrushing attacker. Produced two fine first-half saves from Khazri but his outstanding moments was a block on Maoulida late on.

On his first Ligue 1 appearance, the Brazilian looked a class apart. Anticipated danger superbly and then acted swiftly and efficiently to clear it up. One slip after the break was his only blip.

Captained the team in the absence of Christophe Jallet. Did not appear to be particularly perturbed by the Bastia attack, but did benefit from some terrific cover from the midfield, which aided his task.

The veteran left-back made a rare appearance as Maxwell was given a breather. Did not try to do anything spectacular and tended to be steady down his flank.

Making his debut for PSG and will need time to bed into the team on the evidence of this performance. Extremely lucky not to be dismissed for raising his hands in the second period but otherwise solid.

Opened the scoring with PSG’s first hint of goal, finishing easily after an Ibrahimovic knock-down. Was only a moderate threat otherwise.

Returned to the starting XI after a spell on the bench and struggled to find his best level for long periods. Despite this, he still produced two assists.

Quietly excellent in the middle of the week against Dynamo Kiev, the France international did not let his standard drop significantly against Bastia. Got forward on occasion to support the attack, but was regularly on hand to break up Bastia raids in front of his defence. Rewarded with a goal in the second half.

Played on the right-hand side of the midfield three and had a key role in feeding the ball to the forward players in the early stages of the game. A solid display.

Seemed to be having his quietest game for PSG in the first period but came to life just before the break, setting up one good chance before providing a classy assist for Ibrahimovic to make it 2-0.

Top of the Match
Completely outclassed a Bastia rearguard that has failed to cope with even mundane Ligue 1 attackers. Was only actually in the game for brief moments, but he made these count, scoring with his only two sights of goal.
