Malaysia FA Cup Preview: Kelantan vs Sarawak
A resurgent Sarawak side will take on Kelantan who are looking to bounce back following their disappointing mid-week defeat to Selangor

Sarawak FA
Sarawak will come into the FA Cup with more confidence having had back-to-back wins in the Malaysia Super League over the course of the week. They look to be matched with a high-riding Kelantan, who are looking to bounce back after their unexpected defeat to Selangor last Tuesday.
On paper, Kelantan does looks like a daunting task for the resurging Sarawak. The statistics say it all with Kelantan having beaten Sarawak in the Malaysia Cup matches last season, but their recent defeat to Selangor may just prove the extent that the internal strife between the Kelantan FA and coach Peter Butler may have affected the team.
Nonetheless, Kelantan will still be a force for Sarawak, with well-known players such as Indra Putra Mahayuddin, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, and Khairul Fahmi Che Mat in the starting line-up. The squad will also certainly see imports Onyekachi Nwoha and Obinna Bwaneri starting, despite Nwoha's controversial signing having made headlines.
Sarawak on the other hand look certain to defend hard in this upcoming game as Robert Alberts has made it clear in numerous interviews that Kelantan is not a team he expects to beat this season.
Sarawak will hope that Sani Anuar improves his handling capabilities at the back, with Hairol Mokhtar returning as captain and marshaling the defense. Fan favorite Guy Bwele is an assured start in the midfield with K. Ravindran looking most likely to partner Vedran Muratovich upfront, after his stellar performance against Johor FC the last time round.
While Sarawak will not be mere pushovers, it is not hard to see why Kelantan are being distinguished as immense favourites for this fixture. However, if Robert Albert's side can maintain their shape and be quick on the counter attack, the possibilities are limitless.
