Felda United 0-2 LionsXII: Shaiful Esah and Shahdan Sulaiman get LionsXII back to winning ways
A goal in each half was enough to see off Felda away from home as LionsXII made sure their lead at the top isn't cut further

After a resounding defeat in the hands of title rivals, Kelantan, LionsXII bounced back to secure another priceless away win against Felda United at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka.
Shaiful Esah and Shahdan Sulaiman got on the scoresheet as the Singapore side recorded a relatively comfortable 2-0 win after the disappointment in Kota Bahru on Friday night.
Shaiful opened the scoring just past the half-hour mark from a direct free-kick down the left flank. His swerving effort evaded everyone and looked to take the slightest touch off of Baihakki Khaizan's head and wrong-foot the Felda keeper to hit the back of the far corner of the net.
LionsXII had a much more comfortable outing in a largely empty stadium, starting slowly and keeping possession to ensure a patient build-up.
The strategy almost paid dividends much earlier in the game, when captain Shahril Ishak put the ball in the back of the net with a close range header. But the whistle had already been gone for an offside decision on Khairul Nizam.
Felda, meanwhile, countered relying on the speed of Yong Kuong Yong and the quick feet of Mikael Antoine-Curier.
The Frenchman who's been on fine goalscoring form of late almost opened his account ten minutes after kick-off.
Curier brought a long ball down well and turned his marker to fire a left-footed volley on the turn, but it was stopped by the alert Hyrulnizam Juma'at who started again in place of the recovered Izwan Mahbud.
The former Aberdeen forward will have just one more notable effort on goal, a minute from the half-time break with a volley that drew a fantastic reflex save from Hyrulnizam yet again, but Curier had already been called for offside.
The second-half was a sluggish effort with Felda looking for an equaliser that never really looked like coming.
Shahdan then ensured victory was LionsXII's with a fine effort fifteen minutes from the end.
Yasir Hanapi took down a Shahril Ishak pass well and held off his marker before laying it up for the midfielder who fired in a perfect effort past the hapless keeper.
LionsXII than went into lockdown mode and rested key players to seal a much needed morale-boosting win ahead of their next match at home on Saturday night against Kedah.
Further good news for V.Sundramoorthy will be the involvement of Khairul Amri who had a decent outing on his first start as a LionsXII player before coming off on 65 minutes, though the look of discomfort on the player's face as he made his way out should be a slight concern.
