  A game of two halves for the Dutchman on his Milan swansong. Was as awful as anyone during the first 45, but played like a man possessed after the break, constantly initiating attacks with his driving runs and passing. His lovely ball to find Inzaghi for the winner was a throwback to the glory days.

He did not shy away from taking on the Rossoneri defence, and nearly added a stunner himself in the second half. Always looking to make something happen.
