Live Commentary

  • That's all from me, Ryan Bailey, this evening. Until next time, goodbye!
  • To be fair to Kuban, they are probably deserving of an equaliser, but getting one in those circumstances in cruel on Swansea. Tremmel had no business coming out for the ball, but the referee made the correct decision in handing the Russian side the spot-kick.
  • The draw means Swansea lead Group A by a point from Valencia, who beat St Gallen 1-0 this evening.
  • Incredible end to the game at the Liberty Stadium as Kuban win their first ever European point thanks to a 1-1 draw. Michael Laudrup's side will be bitterly disappointed having had qualification all but secured.
  • FULL-TIME! Swansea City 1-1 Kuban Krasnodar
  • 93'
GOAL! Cisse converts from the spot to snatch a point right at the death!
  • 92'
PENALTY TO KUBAN! Tremmel brings down Balde with two seconds to go. Cisse to take...
  • 91'
Swansea are back in possession to the relief of their fans as the clock ticks down.
  • 90'
Rangel breaks forward and has an effort on goal but it's comfortably saved. The Swans are nearly there now.
  • 90' + 3'
    Penalty Goal Djibril Cissé
  • 90' + 3'
    Yellow Card Gerhard Tremmel
  • 89'
Swansea counter and space opens up for Michu on the edge of the box but his shot is charged down. Two minutes of added time.
  • 86'
CHANCE! That was a little risky from Rangel. A cross came in from Kozlov which Balde headed over the bar, but he only headed the ball over after a nudge from the full-back. I've seen them given.
  • 84'
The hosts are now pressing high again and forcing Kuban to rush their passing. But the Russians do get forward and the ball breaks to Fidler who shoots high and wide from 20 yards.
  • 82'
There are eight minutes remaining at the Liberty Stadium. Swansea look in control, but Kuban look threatening on the break. In the other game, Valencia lead 5-1.
  • 79'
Some anxious moments at the back for the hosts with Chico doing well to head clear Kozlov's cross, before Cisse heads wide.
  • 77'
    SubstitutionNathan Dyer Roland Lamah
  • 77'
SUB! Laudrup makes his third and final change of the evening, bringing on Lamah for Dyer.
  • 77'
Dyer picks out Vazquez in the box but his shot lacks power and it's an easy save for the keeper. The winger and Rangel are working well down the Swansea right.
  • 76'
    SubstitutionIvelin Popov Ibrahima
  • 75'
CHANCE! Nathan Dyer runs almost the length of the pitch to get to a crossing position on the right. He opts against delivering the ball in the box to play a shorter pass to Vasquez, but his lob goes straight into the hands of Belenov.
  • 72'
The Swans look buoyant now and are moving the ball about well, but with Cisse up-front there is still always a threat.
  • 71'
The mood has changed at the Liberty Stadium. The home crowd sound a lot more vocal, and why wouldn't they be? They are on top now. Shelvey curls a free kick towards goal but it is easily dealt with by Belenov.
  • 68'
    SubstitutionArsen Khubulov Vladislav Ignatiev
  • 68'
    Assist Pozuelo
  • 68'
    Goal Michu
GOAL! The pressure tells as Michu puts the hosts into a deserved lead. Pozuelo chips the ball over the Kuban defence for the Spanish striker to slide in ahead of the goalkeeper, and guide the ball into the empty net.
  • 67'
Shelvey, who has probably been Swansea's best player this evening, attempts to engineer something through the middle but he wants too much time to get a shot away.
  • 64'
Michu tries an angled shot form the edge of the box that crashes into the side-netting and moments later, Chico tries to play in the striker but it's just intercepted.
  • 63'
    SubstitutionL. Melgarejo G. Bucur
  • 63'
SUB! It's Kuban's turn to make an alteration. Lorenzo Melgarejo has the left the pitch to be replaced by Gheorghe Bucur
  • 61'
Michael laudrup obviously feels like his side needs some fresh impetus and it has been pretty average from both sides since the break.
  • 60'
Chico meets Shelvey's resulting corner but his header from close range is blocked.
  • 59'
    SubstitutionWilfried Bony Álvaro
  • 59'
    SubstitutionDwight Tiendalli Ángel Rangel
  • 59'
SUBS! Laudrup makes two changes to his side shortly before the hour mark. The Spanish duo of Angel Rangel and Alvaro Vasquez have been thrown into the action in place of Tiendalli and Bony.
  • 56'
Looking ahead, Swansea could have their work cut out when they travel to Russia in a couple of weeks time. It makes tonight's result all that more important because everyone already had them through to the next round before the start of the evening.
  • 54'
It's Ruban's turn to knock the ball around with some confidence but they are also wasteful and the Swans have a goalkick.
  • 53'
Swansea win a corner when a Kuban defender needlessly heads the ball out. However, the ball in was dealt with by the defence.
  • 51'
A good turn by Dyer just inside the Ruban half sees him run at goal before finding Michu. He tries to work a shooting opportunity but instead picks out Shelvey who cuts inside but his curling shot hits Armas in the face.
  • 49'
Dyer tries to link up with Michu, but Armas reads the danger and intercepts. At the other end, Cisse plays the ball back to Popov on the edge of the box but his shot deflects off Chico for a corner which is cleared.
  • 48'
Valencia have extended their lead in Spain in Group A's other game, they now lead St Gallen 4-0.
  • 47'
CHANCE! Kuban earn an early corner after Taylor forced the ball out of play, and Cisse got ahead of his marker to head the set piece into the hands of Tremmel.
  • 46'
The action is under way in the second half with no changes on either side.
  • STAT! Swansea have enjoyed a massive 70% of possession, apparently, but it is Krasnodar who have created the more attempts on goal with nine efforts compared to Swansea's six.
  • HALF-TIME: Swansea City 0-0 Kuban Krasnodar
  • 45'
The visitors will be pleased with their performance in the first-half but they need more than a point to keep their European hopes alive.
  • 44'
Shelvey has been the stand-out player in a white jersey so far and once again sprays a perfectly weighted ball towards Bony but the striker fails to control and the attack peters out.
  • 43'
STAT: Swansea have never won 3 successive games in a major European competition – they have won their last 2 going into this clash.
  • 41'
    Yellow Card Igor Armas
BOOKING! Igor Armas concedes a free kick on the edge of the area after a late challenge on Michu, and he is promptly booked for the offence. Shelvey struck the free kick but it was always rising over the bar.
  • 38'
Shelvey plays a superb 50-yard pass into the path of Bony but the home striker is adjudged offside. There's a little over five minutes until the break.
  • 36'
    Yellow Card Dwight Tiendalli
BOOKING! Tiendalli is very lucky to remain on the pitch. He tugged back Melgarejo, who was through on goal. The Kuban camp are rightly furious with the referee who should have brandished a red card instead.
  • 34'
Taylor, who is captain for the night, ventures forward from left-back but after good work, his effort is tame and trickles well wide.
  • 31'
Swansea again give the ball away in the centre circle and Popov tries to play in Cisses but Tremmel gathers.
  • 30'
This game has a great flow to it with both sides not throwing any caution to the wind. Swansea have just about edged possession but both sides have had chances to take the lead.
  • 29'
Khubulov hangs a cross up to the far post where Popov back heels it back into the danger area but Cisse's speculative effort goes just wide.
  • 27'
Elsewhere in Group A, Valencia lead St Gallen 2-0 at the Mestalla.
  • 25'
Another great chance for the hosts as Bony fires over from twelve yards. After a slow start, the Swans have found their feet and look threatening every time they come forward.
  • 23'
Kuban are creating all of the running, but Swansea are breaking with purpose when they win the ball. Tiendalli flicked the ball into the path of Shelvey, but after the midfielder cut inside the defender, his effort went wide of the far post.
  • 21'
Arsen Khubulov is set free down the right and after getting to the byline with a driving run, his dangerous cross is deflected over his own bar by Chico. Incredible defending by the Spaniard.
  • 19'
Swansea are beginning to find their feet now as Dyer forces Belenov into his first save.
  • 17'
MISS! Lovely passage of play from the hosts who tear through the Ruban defence with ease. Bony and Michu link-up to gift Jonjo Shelvey with a guilt-edge chance but the midfielder fluffs his lines and fires wide.
  • 15'
Swansea are beginning to pressure the ball a little more now, but Kuban don't seem phased. Cisse looks like a man possessed and with something to prove after an indifferent spell with Queen's Park Rangers.
  • 12'
I'm sure Michael Laudrup's side haven't underestimated their opponents but Swansea have yet to get out of the blocks this evening with Kuban dominating proceedings and looking a real threat.
  • 10'
The visitors break with great pace through Cisse and the Frenchman uses the overlapping Kozlov but the right-back's low cross is gathered by Tremmel.
  • 8'
Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse leads the line for Kuban this evening and could be a real menace for the Swansea defence if he gets the service.
  • 6'
A fine run down the left from Melgarejo, who delivers a cross for Armas but he can't divert his effort from 15 yards on target. The Russians seem to be in the mood tonight, playing without any fear.
  • 4'
Popov links up well with Cisse and forces Taylor to concede a corner, however, nothing comes from the set-piece. It's been a quiet start from the hosts.
  • 2'
Alexey Kozlov, who was fouled, unleashes from distance but his effort goes over the bar. Bright start by the visitors, who are backed by no more than a dozen travelling supporters this evening.
  • 1'
We're under way in Wales! The visitors kick us off with Bony conceding an early free-kick.
  • Kuban kicked off their maiden European campaign with four straight wins in qualifying. However, they have hit the skids since then, losing 2-0 at St Gallen and then 2-0 at home against Valencia CF on matchday two.
  • A pretty strong Swansea side then, with the main change the return of Tremmel in goal. Ashley Williams and Ben Davies are injured, so Neil Taylor and Amat play in defence. Jose Canas and Jonjo Shelvey return in place of Britton and De Guzman, while Pozuelo is in for Routledge.
  • KUBAN: Belenov (c), Kozlov, Xandao, Armas, Zhavnerchik, Kabore, Fidler, Khubulov, Melgarejo, Popov, Cisse. Subs: Baychora, Dealbert, Tsoraev, Tlisov, Bucur, Ignatyev, Balde.
  • SWANSEA: Tremmel, Tiendalli, Chico, Amat, Taylor (c), Canas, Shelvey, Dyer, Pozuelo, Michu, Bony. Subs: Vorm, Rangel, Monk, Britton, de Guzman, Lamah, Vazquez.
  • Swansea's 1-0 win against FC St Gallen on matchday two left them top of Group A as one of four sides yet to concede in this season's group stage.
  • The Swans have never faced a Russian club, while Kuban, competing in European competition for the first time, have never come up against a side from British shores. What's more, no Russian side have won on a trip to a Premier League outfit since Zenit St Petersburg overcome Bradford City back in 2000 - a run that stretches back 19 matches.
