Preview: Courts Young Lions vs Harimau Muda
The Singapore side will meet their Malaysian opponents in what is sure to be a feisty battle as they seek their first victory of the season

Still in search of their first win of the campaign, the Courts Young Lions will be looking forward to this match against their Malaysian counterparts and strive to emerge from it with a positive result.
Despite being at the wrong end of the table, Aide Iskandar's charges eked out respectable goal-less draws against Albirex Niigata and Warriors FC earlier in the month, which sandwiched a disastrous 5-2 whipping by Woodlands Wellington.
Harimau Muda, who like the Young Lions were not involved in the Singapore Cup quarter-finals a week ago, took the opportunity to play a series of friendlies overseas.
They played China's Under-22s twice and lost both matches 4-1 and 6-2, before holding Malaysian Premier League club Sarawak to a 1-1 draw over the weekend.
The Young Lions have not been able to stick with their same starting eleven for every match due to various players' commitments with National Service and studies.
But despite the hurdles, their players have shown maturity and some individual performances have caught the eye of national team coach Bernd Stange, who included the trio of Afiq Yunos (right), M. Anumanthan and Iqbal Hussein in Singapore's last training camp.
Afiq and Anumanthan have both been rewarded with places in the latest Lions squad announced on Tuesday for the AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Oman on August 14, with striker Sahil Suhaimi making the team as well.
While the first meeting between the two sides ended with the Malaysians snatching a 2-1 victory at the Pasir Gudang Stadium, the Young Lions will feel that there is no better time than now to grab a morale-boosting first victory over their fierce Causeway rivals back on home soil.
