    David Forde

Should have done better to stop N'Zogbia's initial shot but only parried into the path of Bent, handing Villa an early lead. Showed he was alert in the second half while Millwall were on top by coming out and dealing with Villa's long passes.

    Adam Smith

Made numerous overlapping runs down the right-hand side but far to often failed to find a team-mate in the final third. Gave Bennett a torrid time in defence.

Made a number of towering clearances and showed great leadership throughout the match. His desire to force home Millwall's equaliser was exemplary. Great performance from the skipper.

Had a good battle with Lichaj down the right flank and stopped the Villa man getting in a number of crosses from that side. Never really made an impact going forward.

Swung in a delightful cross for Shittu's goal and offered Millwall an outlet down the left side of the pitch throughout.

Had a couple of chances to play in Keogh, who made good runs, but never managed to pick out the right ball from the middle of the park. But his tackling and industry set an example in midfield, allowing Millwall to dominate possession.
