‘You’re not alone’ – Kanoute, Zokora, Gyan stand by Demba Ba after racial abuse

The 33-year-old was a victim of racial abuse in China and African stars have condemned the discriminatory act

Frederic Kanoute, Didier Zokora, Asamoah Gyan and Moussa Sow have shown support for Shanghai Shenhua attacker Demba Ba who was racially attacked in Saturday's Chinese Super League fixture against Changchun Yatai.

The Shanghai club protested that Yatai's Zhang Li used racist words against the Senegal international in the encounter that ended 1-1 at the Development Area Stadium.

While Wu Jingui's side have called for disciplinary actions, the African stars have condemned the action in clear words.

His former club Besiktas and teammates in the Turkish Super Lig have also expressed their support following the incident.
