WATCH: Man City stars recreate Zidane's UEFA Champions League wonder goal

It is one of the most iconic moments in the history of the UEFA Champions League, arguably the greatest goal the competition has ever seen.

And that’s in no small part due to the outrageous technical difficulty of the strike .

Roberto Carlos did his Real Madrid team-mate Zinedine Zidane few favours in the 2002 UCL final when the Brazilian lofted a square pass up into the clouds.

Onlookers wondered how just all-time great Zizou would go about bringing the ball down, but instead the legendary Frenchman hit the most perfect volley – with his weaker foot – to forever write himself into UCL folklore.

So ahead of Matchday Five, Goal in conjunction with Nissan organised for some Manchester City stars to attempt to recreate the wonder goal.

Watch below as Fernandinho and Oleksandr Zinchenko take on Ilkay Gundogan and Brahim Diaz in a battle to replicate the impossible.

Don't forget you can vote for Goal of the Week from Thursday morning with Nissan!
