The rising Real Madrid star opened the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup with a remarkable long-range strike

Barcelona already were facing tall odds against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup when Marco Asensio moved quickly to squander whatever hope the Catalans had of a comeback.

The 21-year-old opened the second leg scoring with a stunning strike, taking a rip from 30 yards out and watching his dipping effort sail past Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The fourth-minute strike gave Madrid a 4-1 lead on aggregate, putting Los Blancos well on their way to claiming the Super Cup over their Clasico rivals.
