The Chanji Boys’ striker is confident his team has better replacements as he is set to miss out against the Olukoya Boys in Lagos on Sunday

Katsina United’s striker Chinedu Udechukwu believes the Chanji Boys have better players to take his place on Sunday against MFM after his suffering another hamstring injury.

Udechukwu was replaced by Obinna Eleje against Kano Pillars on Wednesday in their last league tie which they won 1-0 and thus, has been left out of the contingent to Lagos.

“I won’t be able to play in the next game because I didn’t travel with them to Lagos for the game with MFM. It was a hamstring injury that forced by substitution against Kano Pillars and I am still recovering from the setback. I believe we have better players that can take my place and I don’t have any doubt that we are not going to return to Katsina with a positive result,” Udechukwu told Goal.

“The win against Pillars has lifted our spirits and we know we can achieve a better result than a point in Lagos if we are serious about it. I am looking forward to getting a favourable result at the end of the game on Sunday.”

Katsina United are 11th in the league table with 41 points from 30 matches and Udechukwu has weighed in with five of their 21 goals.
