Salomon Kalou shines in Hertha Berlin’s win vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

Salomon Kalou delivered an inspiring performance in Hertha Berlin’s 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in Saturday’s German Bundesliga encounter.

The forward, making his 28th league appearance of the season came on as a substitute and provided two assists to help the Old Lady return to winning ways, after a loss to Borussia M'gladbach in their last game.

After a goalless first half, Davie Selke broke the deadlock from the penalty in the 57th minute and 18 minutes later Kalou put Matthew Leckie though on goal to increase the lead.

The victory propelled the Olympiastadion outfit to the ninth spot in the log as they have now gathered 42 points from 31 games.

Kalou has 11 league goals and three assists this season. He will be hoping to be in the starting lineup when Hertha play host to Augsburg in their next league game on April 28.
