Officials of the League Management Company will visit the Damaturu Township Stadium on Friday to inspect the facilities at the stadium ahead of Yobe Desert Stars' campaign in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The newly-promoted side used the stadium for their home matches last season in the second division.
And, ahead of the league organisers' visit, coach Mohammed Babaganaru has informed Goal that work is ongoing on their home ground.
“We have been told that the LMC inspect our stadium on Friday. We are confident that we have the right facilities for it to be approved of for our home matches. We will like to inspection team to come and do their work and they will be marvelled at the level of work on the pitch,” Babaganaru told Goal.
“The state government has been working round the clock to ensure that the stadium is in good shape ahead of the visit. Our stadium is better than some other stadia we have in the country.
“The stadium is a lot better than when we used it for our home games last season,” he stated.
Yobe Desert Stars who are expected to feature in the NNL Super Four which starts this Sunday in Lagos finished second to Kwara United in the Nigerian National League last season.
