Mexican, MLS teams with renewed interest in Guardado


Two Liga MX teams and MLS have made offers for Andres Guardado to play in North America after the 2018 World Cup, according to Record.

For now, Guardado has kept the Mexican teams - one an economic power and the other a sentimental choice for the Atlas product - and MLS at an arm's length, saying he wants to play at least one more season in Europe.


Honda not planning Pachuca return


Keisuke Honda will not extend his Pachuca contract and intends to leave the club at the end of this season, according to Sanso.

The Japan international has offers in Europe and the J-League but hopes to use the World Cup to springboard back to a top European club..


Roco to leave Cruz Azul


Enzo Roco is set to leave Cruz Azul in the summer for a move to Corinthians, according to ESPN Mexico.

The switch would allow the Chilean defender, who is currently out injured, to play in the Copa Libertadores with the Brazilian side currently undefeated in group play in the South American club championship.


Marquez set for boardroom move


Rafa Marquez's final match as an Atlas player will be April 20's Clasico Tapatio against Chivas, according to Record.

After the penultimate match of the season, Marquez would take on a boardroom role as a director. Marquez would be in charge of all aspects of the club, which will be fighting to avoid relegation next season. He could still go to the World Cup with Mexico should Juan Carlos Osorio want him to be part of the delegation.

Former Atlas player and current Univision commentator Pavel Pardo's name continues to be mentioned as a potential sporting director.


Pizarro battle brewing


Tigres could face competition from Boca Juniors in their efforts to bring Guido Pizarro back from Sevilla, according to Futbol Total.

After a manager switch found the Argentine out of favor, Pizarro was in talks to return to Tigres in January but nothing materialized. Tigres are expected to make another attempt, but Boca, which looked to sign Pizarro from Tigres in the summer of 2017 before he went to Europe, also has eyes on the 28-year-old midfielder.


Edson Alvarez an option for Ajax


Ajax director of football Marc Overmars met with Edson Alvarez's agent about signing the Club America center back, according to De Telegraaf.

Ajax's head scout also has been in Argentina watching Boca Juniors center back Lisandro Magallan, the report says, with neither player likely to arrive until after Tottenham and Barcelona target Matthijs de Ligt is sold.


Tigres set to sign defender from Ecuador


Though the window is yet to open, Tigres already are moving to reinforce their squad. The reigning Liga MX champion has made an offer to Barcelona de Guayaquil for center back Luis Caicedo, according to Hincha Amarillo.

After breaking out during Independiente del Valle's Copa Libertadores run in 2016, the defender signed a five-year deal with Cruzeiro but was loaned back to Ecuador after struggles for playing time. Barcelona may buy the player from the Brazilian team before selling him on to Tigres. 


Juve pondering Lozano as Dybala replacement


With Paulo Dybala potentially off to one of the Madrid giants this summer, Juventus is considering a move for Hirving Lozano as a replacement, according to Calciomercato.

The Mexican winger currently has scored 14 goals in his debut season in the Eredivisie and is expected to leave PSV for a larger club this offseason. 


Lazio putting Reyes as priority


Lazio is looking at Diego Reyes as its first choice to replace center back Stefan De Vrij according to Corriere Dello Sport.

Last summer, Reyes' agent and Lazio sporting director Igli Tare were in touch, and the Serie A club still has interest in signing Reyes from Porto.


Pizarro has interest in Spain, Italy


Two clubs in Italy and one in Spain are interested in signing Chivas attacker Rodolfo Pizarro, according to MedioTiempo.

Chivas would sell the 24-year-old for between $8 million-$11 million, though the report also says the club is yet to receive an official offer.

There also is interest from PSV, which is putting a $12 million bid on the table, according to  Record though that report has Chivas' asking price at $15 million.


Lainez headed to Europe in summer


Club America teenager Diego Lainez could leave the club this summer and join a team in Europe, according to Record.

The 17-year-old winger hasn't been able to break into America's starting XI this season but has aroused interest from clubs in Spain, Italy, Germany and England.
