LaLiga 2018-19: Where and when to watch the matches in India

Comments
Fans in India will be able to watch all 380 LaLiga Santander matches Live on Facebook

LaLiga and Facebook have, on Tuesday, announced that the social media platform will become the official home for all LaLiga Santander matches in the Indian subcontinent.

It's a deal that will continue for three seasons starting the 2018/19 campaign that is set to kick off on August 17. The opening fixture will feature Girona FC, who had participated in and won the LaLiga World Tournament 2018, a pre-season tournament in India, where A-League's Melbourne City FC and Indian Super League (ISL) Kerala Blasters were also involved.

All of the 380 of Spain's top tier league games will be available to be streamed free of cost on Facebook. Besides India, this facility will be accesible to fans in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

The matches will be all live and with an on-demand feature that may be watched via multiple devices. The matches will be available on the official LaLiga Facebook Page as well as individual club Pages.

Signature clashes will also be coupled with a interactive studio coverage for viewers that will be hosted by Joe Morrison while the panelists of experts to provide analysis for games include the likes of former Real Madrid defender and four time LaLiga champion Michel Salgado, as well as former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid midfielder Luis Garcia.

In addition to the live matches, shoulder programming, including a full range of weekly preview shows and highlights, will be offered.

FC Barcelona, who were under new manager Ernesto Valverde, won the title last season with previous champions Real Madrid, with 76 points from 38 games, falling short of 17 points to finish third as Atletico Madrid were the runners up with three points more than their Madrid rivals.
